Marktplatz with the Roland statue
The Roland statue from 1404 still stands here and is a Unesco World Heritage site. Behind it you will see the Rathaus with the Bremen Town Musicians cast in bronze. Rub the donkey's hoof for luck, a local tradition that almost no visitor manages to pass by.
Schnoorviertel
A tangle of narrow seventeenth-century houses, once the poorest district and now full of galleries, tea rooms and handmade jewellery. Wander around without a map, everything lies within ten minutes of everything else and you get pleasantly lost.
Eating and drinking on the Schlachte
Along the bank of the Weser sit barges converted into restaurants and bars. Order a lager and watch the sun set over the water, in summer one of the loveliest spots in northern Germany.
Böttcherstraße
A hundred metres of expressionist lane from 1920, built by the coffee magnate Roselius. The carillon chimes three times a day while wooden panels rotate. Small, but architecturally unique for the whole of Germany.

Drove to Bremen, package included the Beck's brewery tour. Did the tour at my own pace, then past the Bremen Town Musicians statue. Blind didn't fully close. Worked well for me, I'd book again.

Booked the Bremen package midweek, Beck's brewery tour was included. Everything at our own pace, city was nice and quiet. Good value for midweek dates. Wall between rooms a bit thin. Recommended outside weekends.

Booked the Bremen package as a four, Beck's brewery tour was included. The Schnoor quarter with its narrow lanes really stuck with me. Then Marktplatz with Roland. Coffee in the room was instant. Doing it again next year.

Booked the Bremen family package, the Beck's brewery tour for the two of us was included. For the kids (4 and 7) we had the Bremen Town Musicians statue on the list. Family room with bunks really helped. Parking pricier than expected. We'll be back.

Booked the Bremen package with Beck's brewery tour, nice that the tour was already sorted, no tickets to chase. Tour was smooth, tasting afterwards was great. Then through the Schnoor quarter with its narrow lanes. TV remote only half worked. Recommended for a sorted city + brewery break.
