Liseberg was elke dag feest
Liseberg lag op tramafstand van ons hotel, dus we gingen er drie keer naartoe. De kinderen wilden niet meer weg. Een perfecte stad voor een gezin.

Göteborg makes a wonderful base for a family. In the city you will find Liseberg, the largest theme park in Scandinavia, and the Universeum science museum. Within half an hour's drive the Bohuslän archipelago coast begins, with rocky islets and little fishing villages, while along the west coast you will find broad sandy beaches for a swim. With the long, light summer evenings, the day feels like it never wants to end.
What to do in Göteborg
Göteborg makes an ideal base for a family: Scandinavia's biggest theme park sits right in the city, an archipelago coastline and wide beaches are just half an hour away, and there is clean water everywhere. Thanks to the long, light summer evenings, the day feels as though it never ends.
Swimming on the west coast
Along the Bohuslän and Halland coast you will find quiet bays and broad sandy beaches. The sea is bracing but wonderful on a warm summer's day, and many beaches are shallow and safe for children.
The Bohuslän archipelago
Half an hour's drive from Göteborg, the Bohuslän archipelago begins: thousands of rocky islets and little fishing villages. With the free ferries you can hop from island to island, perfect for a family day out.

Liseberg in Göteborg is the largest theme park in Scandinavia and a firm favourite with children, from gentle carousels to thrilling roller coasters. It is a short tram ride from most hotels.

Göteborg en de scherenkust, top combinatie
Twee weken was precies genoeg om de stad met de Bohuslän-scherenkust te combineren. Overdag de eilandjes op met de auto en de veerboot, 's avonds terug naar het hotel in Göteborg.

Het Universeum maakte de vakantie
Het Universeum, het wetenschapsmuseum in Göteborg, maakte de vakantie. Onze dochters stonden uren bij het regenwoud en de haaien. Een aanrader, ook bij slecht weer.

Eilandhoppen op de west-kust
Wat ons het meest bijbleef was de Bohuslän-kust: rotseilandjes, vissersdorpjes en zwemmen in zee. En door de lange lichte zomeravonden hield de dag maar niet op.

Brede stranden vlak bij Göteborg
De zandstranden langs de west-kust lagen dichtbij en bevielen prima. Overdag zwemmen, daarna een ijsje aan de haven van Göteborg. Heerlijk relaxt met kinderen.

Göteborg als uitvalsbasis was ideaal
We kozen een familiehotel in Göteborg als uitvalsbasis. Haga met z'n houten huisjes, het Slottsskogen-park en Liseberg, alles op loop- of tramafstand. Ideaal met kinderen.
